Lawyers for Maine native Dennis Dechaine continue preparing for the April hearing that will decide if new DNA test results are grounds for a retrial. They have also filed a habeas petition alleging prosecutorial misconduct during the 1989 trial in which Dennis was wrongfully convicted of murder. The state has not yet responded, and the DNA hearing set for April 18th-19th at the Knox County Courthouse in Rockland is still on. Although Dennis’s lawyers, John Nale and Stuart Tisdale, are working for free, we need to pay for expensive expert witnesses. Trial and Error is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to justice for Dennis, and all financial donations are tax-deductible. To help us meet our $50,000 matching challenge grant, please send a check to Trial and Error, P.O. Box 153, Madawaska ME 04756, or click on the link. Thank you!
