The hearing to determine if Maine native Dennis Dechaine will be granted a retrial began Thursday, April 18th, with testimony by DNA and crime-scene experts. The hearing will complete on Friday, April 19th. Dennis is serving a life sentence for a 1988 murder, despite scientific evidence showing his innocence. Recent DNA testing prompted a judge to order the hearing at the Knox Country Courthouse in Rockland. Although the lawyers, John Nale and Stuart Tisdale, are working for free, we still need to cover witness expenses. Trial and Error is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization seeking justice for Dennis, and all financial donations are tax-deductible. If you’d like to help, please send a check to Trial and Error, P.O.
